Hello folks, the Carleton Ice House is beginning to fill up as the Carleton Ravens men's hockey team prepares to face off against the Binghampton Senators (Sens) of the American Hockey League (AHL). This will likely be the toughest competition the Ravens face for the season. Stay tuned for live updates on the game.

Sens hit the cross bar for their closest goal opportunity. The penalty has been killed off by the sens, the Ravens didn't manage to get any shots on net.

First period has ended with the Ravens leading the Sens 1-0.
First period recap. The Sens are out shooting the Ravens 12-7, despite the shot count the Ravens lead 1-0 with a goal from Brent Norris. Both teams showing physicality with several large hits by both teams. The larger Sens seem to be out muscling the Ravens on the boards but aren't able to take full advantage of their size. Patrick Killeen has had some important saves for the Ravens.
The second period has begun.

The Ravens have evened the shot count 12-12 as the Sens are yet to have a shot three minutes into the period.

Two close goal opportunities by the Ravens, both coming up short as Greenham makes his first saves of the night.

Sens goalie Greenham on the ground in pain. A scuffle of Ravens and Sens emerge over injured goalie.
After being checked by a trainer Sens Greenham is back in net and robs an open shot by the Ravens.

End of second period. Score 1-0 for the Ravens.
Second period review. The Ravens have shown more offensive skill out shooting the Sens 22-21. Neither team has managed to score in the second period. Despite being out shot, the Sens have had some big chances including a breakaway from Ryan Dzingel during a penalty kill. The physicality of the game has increased with large hits by both teams and some pushing after Sens goalie Greenham was showing pain due to a Ravens player bumping him. Extremely strong goal-tending by both teams. Killeen for the Ravens playing consistent, holding a shutout after two periods and the recently subbed in Greenham with huge saves on open shots.

Third period review. A penalty heavy period as both teams tempers flared. Not a lot of offence by either team. The Ravens played a defensive heavy third period holding off the Sens to come away with the victory.
