Carleton Student Demo: Live Blog: Artist Talk by Mary Ann Carroll

Live Blog: Artist Talk by Mary Ann Carroll

Mary Ann Carroll, the only female member of The Florida Highwaymen, is at Carleton University. The Highwaymen are a group of African-American painters that came together in the 1950s; their work was often rejected by private galleries on the basis of segregation. Carroll is here to speak about her experiences during the Civil Rights Movement. This talk is a part of Black History Month programming.
