Renée Banville, teacher at Moksha Yoga Orleans, is the instructor for today. She introduces herself to the crowd of up to 1000 participants and let's the crowd know that today is the second last Parliament Yoga day of the year.
"Breathe in through the nose, belly rises. Breathe out through the mouth, belly falls. Try and maintain this quality of breath for the next 60 minutes."
"Practice with intention. Practice with breath. Practice with focus."
"If you hear me heavy breathing into the microphone, it's me sending you a message to feel your breath."
Banville chuckles, "Not so serious, you guys are scaring me."
"Make sure whatever you're feeling right now feels good."
Banville is walking through the crowd as she instructs helping any participants who need assistance or adjustments in their poses.
"You will learn a lot more if you let yourself fall."
"It's so nice to see mommies with babies on the Hill too."
The Parliament bells ring indicating that it is 1 p.m. and Banville thanks the crowd for coming. The crowd rounds an applause.
